Graduation Requirements

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

San Mateo Union High School District students must satisfactorily complete a minimum of 170 credits in required courses and 50 additional credits of elective coursework, making a total of 220 credits. Each course passed earns 5 credits.

3 years: Algebra 2 or Data Science

20 Credits: 10 credits in Biological science and 10 credits in physical science.

[Beginning with the class of 2016, as part of their elective coursework, students will also be required to complete at least complete at least 10 credits of Career/Technical Education (CTE)] Students earning a Hillsdale High School diploma must also satisfactorily complete (pass) the Senior Exit Portfolio and Master Project.
